Clay "Pigeon" shooting has many disciplines & the formal shooting ground offers a wide variety of targets which try to emulate live quarry species. A licence is not required by the participants providing that they are using a licence holders gun in his or her presence. Many shooters "cut their teeth" so to speak at informal clay shooting sessions along with a few friends.
